Preparation to go to SWEDEN

After passing such a long process to submitting your visa application, waiting for approximately 3 months with a lot of question will your visa get granted or not(?), and finally here comes the time when The migration officer send you the email and they said that YOUR VISA HAS BEEN GRANTED. waaaiiiiitttt whatttt? CONGRATULATION for you... and then what? haha.

You will have to arrange an appointment for making a residence permit in Sweden embassy after you got your visa issued. The embassy will expect you to take biometric procedures such as having a photo shot and fingerprint with a few interview questions. Moreover, you have to wait around a week to take your Residence card permit that you can use as your identification card while you live in Sweden.

So here it is my sort of list about what you have to prepare so you don't miss anything from your a year packing preparation to live abroad :

  1. Typical food from your home country (coffee, tea and any specialties).
  2. Proper four seasons clothes (DEPENDS WHICH SEASON YOU WILL COME) summer clothes from tropical country still work better and never out of date for you to bring though.
  3. Toiletries (Deodorant are best from the tropical country), Moisturizer (best from 4 season weather so you don't have to bring it).
  4. Be careful with your personal medical stuff (you have to read the drugs standard regulation from the country you will live in).
  5. important document (In case that you want to apply for study or etc and your Insurance or visa document).
  6. Well condition gadget (Laptop, Hand phone or your camera also plus their charger so you can be convenient during your trip in Sweden to capturing your moment).
  7. Prepare your  Sim card with roaming internet access.
  8. Electrical connection plug (you can check whether your home country connector was the same connector in Sweden)
  9. Skincare product that suits your skin character.

I think for the rest you can improve what ind of stuff that is important for you to bring either like a souvenir for your friends, host family or relatives.
